Information You Send Directly
A name, phone number, or address entered in a search form is sent to the third-party provider that supplies the results. Our own servers do not keep a copy of those searches. If you contact us, we receive the contents of your message and use them to respond.
Information Collected Automatically
Our hosting provider may record ordinary server-log details, such as an IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and timestamps. We review that information in aggregate to maintain the site and understand which pages are useful. Cookies or similar tools may also support basic analytics or, when applicable, advertising measurement.
How We Use the Information
We use it to operate the site, troubleshoot faults, measure traffic, and improve the pages. We do not sell visitor lists or create profiles about individual users.
Links to External Websites
Pages link to Utah, Salt Lake County, and Taylorsville records portals, library collections, archives, and third-party search tools. Once you leave this site, the destination's privacy policy controls what you submit there. That includes the sponsored results supplied by a separate company.
Who May Receive It
Hosting and other service providers may process server logs while they support the site. Analytics or advertising partners may receive the automatic information described above. We disclose information when valid legal process requires it, and otherwise do not disclose it.
How We Protect It
The site uses an encrypted connection, and logs are retained only for as long as the purposes above require. Because there are no accounts, this site does not hold a password or user profile that could be exposed.
People Under 18
This site is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you think a minor sent us information, contact us so we can delete what we find.
Your Privacy Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain portable copies of personal data a site keeps about you, and to opt out of sale or targeted advertising where the law provides. Utah's Consumer Privacy Act, Utah Code Title 13, Chapter 61, describes rights and a response period for covered businesses. Because this site keeps very little, a request usually involves checking the contact mailbox and relevant server logs, then removing information we find. Use the Contact page to ask. GRAMA, the Utah Government Records Access and Management Act, Utah Code Title 63G, Chapter 2, governs access classifications for records held by Utah public agencies; those public records are outside this site's control, so direct any removal request to the custodian.
Changes to This Policy
When this policy changes, the new version will appear on this page. Continued use of the site after an update indicates acceptance of the revised policy.
